Once again being hunted by gangsters, Parker must take down those who cross his path. The graphic adaptation successfully captures the essence of the novel with its binary graphics and fast-paced narrative that oozes an infinite charm. Parker, the heartless and amoral hero, kills cold-bloodedly when faced with a crime and reflects a deep reflection on human decay and the eternal return of violence. There are still two volumes left to truly get to know our hero.

The two-tone coloring and the pop-cartoon graphics of the 50s and 60s are flawless. The heists are perfectly executed, the characters have lived-in faces, and the narrative is fast-paced and efficient. The adaptation offers a deep reflection on human decay, the origin of evil, morality, and the eternal return of violence. Parker is an unyielding crook driven by a dark and lucid neurosis, exuding a charm that is both captivating and sinister. This graphic novel is a great success.
